The historic period you intend to transport people to, and why
We chose Brooklyn Bridge Park, specifically the area between the Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridge (Jane’s Carousel). Known for its views of the Manhattan skyline, restaurants, and iconic backgrounds for pictures, this area has a lot to offer. However, we were interested in showcasing the rich history of the neighborhood, understanding how it had transformed over time into the lively place it is today.

I made some intital concept sketches of the filter, visualizing how the filter would look like and consider the feasbility and impact of each filters when it comes to showcasing historical information.

Originally in our first proposal, we wanted to create a filter that shows the juxtaposition of the modern day DUMBO with what it was like in the 19th century. We specially wantED to highlight how the pier looked like before the bridge was built, showing models of olden days ferries on the river.
Since DUMBO is a relatively large area, we looked at the different areas we could cover. We knew that we wanted to include the iconic bridges in our filter, so we looked at places where there is a clear view of the bridges
